I&#8217;ve seen talks and talked to people who are doing some event-driven stuff, but this talk seemed much more fleshed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were a few concepts that came out of this talk that I like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><q>An event is a statement of fact<\/q><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><q>An event is an <acronym title=\"Application Programming Interface\">API<\/acronym><\/q><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><q>Make events single purpose<\/q><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The speaker also recommended a couple of books.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Building Event-Driven Microservices &#8211; Adam Bellemore<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Domain-Driven Design &#8211; Eric Evans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I saw a good talk on EDA at work.
