The two have a lot of features in common. My wife is a bit of a linguist and can speak conversationally in multiple languages. I have never had much luck with human languages, until after I had learned a few programming languages. Weird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then I ran across this article: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/without.boats\/blog\/the-registers-of-rust\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Registers of Rust<\/a>. First, it introduced me to a concept I was not aware of <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Register_(sociolinguistics)\" target=\"_blank\">registers in language<\/a>. The post then moved this concept from human linguistics into programming linguistics.
