While I can certainly see some interesting results, it seems that people underestimate the fact that the models don&#8217;t really <em>know<\/em> anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My thought is that these models have actually automated the Dunning-Kruger Effect. The tools can generate confident text (or code) that superficially seems to mean something. But, many of the people looking at the output don&#8217;t necessarily have the skills to appropriately evaluate the output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A reasonable concern will be companies replacing knowledgeable people with these tools and cheap, inexperienced people evaluating the results.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m seeing more people becoming enamored with the LLMs, in particular ChatGPT and Copilot.
